"Out
of the Ashes, a Buttercup" is a ceramic mosaic measuring
14.5" x 21". The image was inspired by two catastrophes
-- 911 and the Cerro Grande fire in Los Alamos, NM -- and reflects
my faith in the Earth's power
to heal. A flower emerges from the heat (suggested by the terra
cotta grout), upturned and resilient.
