| I designed motifs of three cactus (claret-cup, prickly pear, and cholla) against a cobalt-blue sky with stars, butterflies, and hummingbirds, resolving in corners capped by carved green cactus-like cones. Extruded crimson edge-tiles separate the segments from each other and from the 23-karat patent gold center. |
